Grove Market: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; Grove Market was founded in 1947 by Greek immigrant, Pete Savas. Our plan for the business was to create a neighborhood grocery/produce market in which Pete's family could all learn to manage as they grew. After Pete's passing his son, Jim, took over full operations of the store. In response to growing competition, Jim and his wife, decided to create additional services to the corner-store. A deli was then constructed by family friends in the early 1970s and has since went on to become one of Salt Lake's most beloved and frequented gems. Founded upon principles of consistent, quality management Grove Market has proved throughout its over 60 year history to be a proficient and popular Salt Lake staple.
